- I hope this reflects a new attitude at Hayes.
-
- I've used Hayes modems for over 10 years. My first modem was a Hayes
- MicroModem for my Apple II and I have been pleased with Hayes quality
- since then. However, with the Optima 28.8 that I bought not quite a year
- ago because of its 230Kbps DTE speed, I have had nothing but frustration,
- wasted time and no help from Hayes. I have had no email replies from Hayes
- and useless and impatient "help" on the phone from Hayes Tech Support. I
- have spent so many frustrating hours trying to get my Optima 28.8 to work
- reliably at >14.4Kbps that I have given up trying. I've gotten a Penril
- modem (which I just plugged in and it works as advertised) and now I have
- to use the Hayes as a doorstop (I can't even use it as an Apple Remote
- Access modem at 14.4Kbps because it won't hold a connection for more than
- about 5 minutes whereas a Supra 288 FaxModem works fine.).
-
- I'll drop a note to the address you give.
